Dear LFBA Fan:

The 2017 LFBA travel baseball program is expected to serve approximately 75 boys between the ages of 8 and 12.  Our organization’s goal is to provide the appropriate level of instruction, opportunity, and development of our young boys into young men and help prepare them for a future in baseball at the high school level and beyond.

Our 8U-12U teams engage in several local tournaments throughout the spring and summer seasons as part of both the Mid-Suburban Baseball League and the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League.  It has become an annual tradition and crowning achievement of our 12U teams, to represent the community of Lake Forest at Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York for one week every summer.  We expect each of our boys to participate in fundraising activities in order to raise the necessary funds to send their teams to Cooperstown.  We also encourage each child to give back to the community and beyond through service opportunities.  It is our goal that these life lessons and the love of baseball will remain with the boys forever.

The Lake Forest Baseball Association is a non-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization established in 1999.  Since its inception, LFBA has benefitted from countless hours of time from volunteers, families, sponsors, and coaches, who have each contributed to the formation of our baseball teams and the development of lifelong skills in our players.  The program philosophy which LFBA has developed not only focuses on proper baseball technique and rules, but on teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership.  Naturally, we also focus on the necessary social/emotional skills required for dealing with success and disappointment, plus the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle through sport.

We hope that you consider joining us in supporting LFBA through a sponsorship or donation to LFBA.  With your support, we can continue our mission of creating growth opportunities for our youth through America’s favorite pastime – Baseball!!
